As population density and economic activity in the coastal zone increases, pressures on coastal ecosystems increase . Different, often not compatible human activities like transport, fisheries, recreation, human settlements, industry etc. compete for the same space. Integrated and sustainable management of the coastalzone only can be achieved on the long run when all stakeholders from all sectors timely provide information needed.
